At My Pregnancy Fitness, we provide practical solutions preparing for what is happening and what is about to happen, from conception to parenting.
Many women (and men) are depleted of their reserves building another person, maintaining a family, and still finding time to care and nurture themselves. This is why our mission is finding way to be fit means more then just physical fitness. We understand even if you can’t do it all the world still tends to expect you to. What our readers love most is that there is no pressure to get it all perfect because no one can. We’re here to help with the mental fitness too!
I think you are going to enjoy it, and I’d love for you to take a look!
My name is Julie Clancy and I am a mother of four beautiful, demanding and high energy children.
How did this become my thing?
Posting pregnancy related posts quickly became a place for mommies to gather and experience a sense of community. I realized most women were just as overwhelmed as I was.
Finding a solution to these everyday frustrations quickly became the thing I wanted to do when I could be doing anything else. Time on Pinterest looking for ways to organize my kid’s stuff, time management, and so on.
No one seemed to care about my struggles. I began to feel I was getting sympathy from strangers when I would embark on a trip to the store. I scrambled to look like a could manage my monkeys buying groceries without it turning into a side show.
I would post pictures of my kids sleeping on top of a bag of chips in the grocery cart and my family would say, “your kids will sleep anywhere.” Yeah, because we go everywhere together and who logically has time to meet life’s demands, with two toddlers and an infant, and schedule naps.
I just wanted to shower alone.
Where was my tribe?
I did not know where they were; reaching out to other busy moms helped close that gap. After passing 9,000 followers on Facebook I decided to start My Pregnancy Fitness.
One child is as hard as four. My first child felt like walking through quicksand trying to learn everything there was to know. Finding time to pee alone is what two kids introduced. Soon, I found myself hiding from the very creation I was supposed to nurture when baby number three arrived. Four children, well, you find out just how liked you are when you start stacking up children. You never get the first pancake right and hope for the best with the last. Most of all, keep moving. You are in it, you are living it, you ARE doing it.
So what about my tribe: go big or go home!
I find most busy moms struggle with their identity when faced with all the responsibilities of having a family. Here, I help women combine family obligations as a mother with their personal goals (and needs) as women to eliminate mom-guilt and build lasting relationships.
As I said before, My Pregnancy Fitness is not just about physical fitness, it’s about mental fitness.
You will probably still hide once and a while; with less stress. Once you start talking to other moms you realize most people are going through the same thing. That is where you find solutions to help with all the mind and body taxing experiences you are embarking upon.
Remember your start can be someone else’s finish and vice versa!
We’ll explore solutions for first-time mommies and veterans. Let us hear from you if you don’t see what you’re looking for. Consider us your little information army, here to serve you as a woman and a mother.
I’m glad you found us!
I look forward to sharing all the things that spark a smile. That seed of acceptance that tells the world you feel loved and understood! That unmistakable space you want to be in, so the world feels safe. I want to be a part of those smiles, those lives, those solutions…THAT tribe, my tribe.
Join the tribe! Find your solutions! Be your solution! Be part of our tribe…
